Sustainability at DATEV Challenge Roth
As the organizer of the biggest long-distance triathlon worldwide we are taking our responsibilities concerning Sustainability very serious. In comparison to other triathlon organizations in the sector we are well advanced and therefore leading the way while being aware of the fact that the advancement to a more sustainable future is a never-ending process. We have been working on becoming a more sustainable organization for many years already and have made it our goal to be a pioneer in the Triathlon sector.
When selecting our sponsors, we pay close attention to their Sustainability practices as it is an important aspect in our decision making. The right mindset is an important pre-condition to a successful and long-lasting cooperation.
We have made it our mission to make our fans as well as friends of the DATEV Challenge Roth aware of the topic and to incentivize everyone to include sustainability factors into their decision-making processes. This applies to race day as well as the run of the entire year.
When approaching the issue, we have oriented ourselves on the agenda from 2030 and been looking at the 17 Sustainability Development Goals from the United Nations. Also, we considered the Bavarian sustainability strategy. It is crucial to us to contribute our part to reach those goals.
