Aware of Our Social Responsibility
As the organizer of the world’s largest long-distance triathlon, we are fully aware of our social responsibility. For the outstanding promotion of sports, the Roth Triathlon was awarded the Bavarian Sports Prize – the first event ever to receive this honor.
We have a particular focus on children, which is why we place great importance on actively involving them in the event, whether it’s through the Bambini Run, the Festival Market, the Junior Challenge, or other activities during race week.
We offer our charity partners, such as Der weiße Ring, UNICEF, and Engelein e.V., a platform during race week, through our program booklet and other media, to raise awareness for their important work. The coveted spots at the Triathlon Expo and all other services are, of course, provided free of charge.
We are also very aware of the international impact of DATEV Challenge Roth, which is why we proudly support the American Cancer Society (ACS) on a global scale. This organization is dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health issue through research, education, advocacy, and services. The ACS funds and conducts lifesaving research to better understand, prevent, and find cures for cancer.
Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide. The American Cancer Society is one of the largest non-governmental funders of cancer research globally. In 2026, the American Cancer Society will partner with the DATEV Challenge Roth Triathlon, the world’s largest long-distance triathlon, and receive 20 entries for the race, which sells out in seconds.
