DATEV Challenge Roth is an important economic factor
For triathlon fans worldwide, Roth is the place to be. Every year, thousands of dreams are realized, and new ones are born as athletes chase the finish line in the Home of Triathlon. The triathletes feel at home here, and they keep coming back year after year. For the district of Roth and the whole region, the event is therefore a significant economic factor.
Alone in race week an added value of 14 million euros is being made.
Due to the many training visits throughout the run of the entire year in the area around the “Rothsee” an added value of about two million euros in being made.
Thus, a total profit of 16 million is being gained every year.
With a media reach of 342 million in 2024, the event generates an advertising value of over 100 million euros annually.
The local economy in the Roth district benefits in many ways from the event. On one hand, it boosts sectors like hotels, local restaurants, and leisure service providers. On the other hand, we, as organizers, collaborate closely with local and regional partners. In 2018, the event was awarded the title of "Top Sport of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region" and is seen as a beacon in international triathlon sports.
