Equal treatment of all genders
At DATEV Challenge Roth, gender equality is not just a goal—it’s a given. Unlike some other sports, such as football, we ensure equal prize money distribution, with over €160,000 awarded equally between men and women.
It’s true that more men currently compete in long-distance triathlon than women. However, we would love to see more women take up this incredible sport and experience the magic of DATEV Challenge Roth.
When women and men battle for the prestigious DATEV Challenge Roth victory, we ensure equal airtime in our livestream coverage—because both races deserve the spotlight!
Across all our media platforms—our website, social media, and other publications—we strive to represent all genders fairly and inclusively.
We acknowledge that after introducing the Sub9 category for fast male athletes, we took too long to establish an equivalent program for women. Since 2022, we have corrected this by introducing the Sub10 category for female athletes. This means that any woman who finishes under 10 hours gets her entry fee refunded.
We hope this creates an additional incentive and inspires more women to chase their limits. Of course, the Sub9 program for men continues to run in parallel.
At Challenge Roth, we believe in fairness, equal opportunities, and celebrating all athletes—because triathlon is for everyone!
