“I definitely don't need to hide” – Caroline Pohle makes her long-distance debut in Roth
There's no better place for a long-distance debut than Roth. Caroline Pohl also takes this motto to heart. The Leipzig native will compete for the first time on July 5 over the 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike, and 42.2 km run. The 30-year-old has already shown over shorter distances that she is a force to be reckoned with.
“Not at the start to finish in 5th place”
"I'm really looking forward to my first long distance race, and to doing it in Roth. I am aware that a lot can happen, especially in your first long distance race, and that everything is uncertain. But I definitely don't need to hide and I'm not going to the start to finish in 5th place. I want to race aggressively and courageously. I want to play my cards right and make my mark on the race for as long as possible," says Pohle confidently.
The Erdinger Active Team athlete won the IRONMAN 70.3 European Championship, IRONMAN 70.3 Zell am See and Challenge Barcelona in 2024. Last year in the T100 series, she proved she is one of the absolute best in her field. She finished in the top ten at the grand finale in Qatar.
On July 5, 2026, we will see how Pohle masters her long-distance debut.
