Return of a Roth Champion: Daniela Bleymehl Set for Emotional Comeback at DATEV Challenge Roth 2026
Daniela Bleymehl, the 2018 DATEV Challenge Roth champion and now a mother of three, will return to the Home of Triathlon on July 5, 2026. Following her impressive third-place finish at Ironman South Africa in April 2026, the Erdinger Active Team athlete has decided to add Roth to her race calendar once again.
For Bleymehl, returning to Roth is about much more than racing.
"From a sporting perspective, I dream of pushing myself beyond what I've achieved before and delivering my full potential in Roth," said Bleymehl. "My circumstances today are very different from what they were years ago, but that's exactly why I want to show my children that passion, hard work and ambitious goals never lose their value."
A lot has changed since her victory at DATEV Challenge Roth in 2018. Back then, Bleymehl was the mother of one young son. This summer, three children will be cheering her on along the course.
"When I won in 2018, I was the mother of one small boy. This time, three children will be standing on the sidelines, and I want them to see that passion, commitment and big dreams don't disappear just because life changes."
"Roth Means Even More to Me Today"
Family has become an even greater part of her journey back to the start line.
"My children are now old enough to understand why I invest so much time and why I'm often away from home. That's one of the reasons why Roth may mean even more to me today than it did before."
That unique combination of elite sport and family moments is what makes Roth so special for her.
"Roth is more than just a race for me. I'm looking forward to the incredible energy along the course, to those goosebump moments, and to creating lasting memories together with my family."
A World-Class Women's Field
Bleymehl will join an exceptional women's field at DATEV Challenge Roth 2026, featuring athletes such as Laura Philipp, Kat Matthews, Alanis Siffert, Fenella Langridge, Caroline Pohle, Daisy Davies and several other international stars.
With Daniela Bleymehl returning to the Home of Triathlon, fans can look forward to even more emotional moments and another spectacular race on July 5, 2026.
