Center Stage featuring international triathlon stars / Padel Court, Handcraft Market, family activities and Food Court / A meeting place for athletes, fans and the entire region
Over the past few years, the Festival Market has become one of the most popular gathering places surrounding DATEV Challenge Roth. From July 2 to 6, 2026, visitors can once again look forward to a diverse program featuring sports, entertainment, food and interactive activities for the whole family. One of the major highlights will be the debut of the Padel Court, marking the first-ever opportunity to play the fast-growing sport in the Roth district.
International stars on the Center Stage
The Center Stage will once again be a key attraction throughout race week. Visitors can enjoy an exciting program featuring world-class triathletes, inspiring talks, live podcasts and expert sessions across all event days.
Among the guests are reigning DATEV Challenge Roth champion and world champion Laura Philipp, defending champion Sam Laidlow, triathlon legend Jan Frodeno, Patrick Lange, Kristian Blummenfelt, Rico Bogen and many other well-known faces from the international triathlon scene. The program is further complemented by popular podcast formats such as Buddy Talk, PACE Podcast and “WHAT THE FUNK”. A special highlight will also be the BR Lebenslinien talk featuring Alice Walchshöfer, offering personal insights into her life and her connection to triathlon.
Padel Court makes its debut
Sporting action will not be limited to the stage. For the first time, the Festival Market will feature its own Padel Court. Visitors can try one of the world's fastest-growing sports free of charge throughout the Festival Market opening hours. Rackets and balls will be provided on site. The court is open to beginners as well as sports enthusiasts who would like to discover this dynamic racket sport. A special exhibition match featuring experienced players on Sunday at 5:00 pm will complete the program.
Handcraft Market and family activities
Returning this year is the popular Handcraft Market, opening on Friday. Creative exhibitors will showcase handmade products ranging from fashion, jewelry and ceramics to many other unique items. Visitors can browse, meet local artisans and discover one-of-a-kind products.
Families will also find plenty to enjoy. Children can look forward to a bouncy castle, glitter tattoos and a UNICEF sign-making activity.
Food Court and cashless payment
The large Food Court will offer something for every taste. Visitors can choose from burgers, burritos, bowls, pizza, pasta, loaded fries and traditional German sausages, as well as ice cream, specialty coffees and a wide selection of beverages, including Spalter beer, Frankenbrunnen mineral water and Erdinger Alkoholfrei.
To ensure a smooth and convenient visitor experience, the Festival Market will once again operate as a fully cashless event. The proven cashless payment system significantly reduces waiting times and allows for faster service, particularly at the busy Food Court stands.
