Denis Chevrot celebrates Roth debut with clear ambitions
French long-distance specialist focuses on the third discipline in particular for his debut
With Denis Chevrot, DATEV Challenge Roth announces another high-calibre new addition to the 2026 professional field. Like Kristian Hogenhaug, the Frenchman will be on the start line at the Home of Triathlon for the first time this year.
Chevrot has established himself among the international elite over the past decade. He has four Ironman 70.3 titles and five Ironman victories to his name, including the Ironman European Championships in Frankfurt in 2022 and Hamburg in 2023. Particularly impressive is his best time of 7:26:21 hours, set at Ironman Hamburg; a time that currently puts him at the top of the French long-distance rankings, even ahead of Sam Laidlow's Roth winning time of 7:29:35 hours.
Chevrot has set clear athletic goals for his debut in Roth, especially with regard to the run. “My goal is to be as close as possible to my PB with a sub 2h30 run.” With a marathon under 2:30 hours, Chevrot would make a clear statement in the battle for the top places.
In addition to the sporting challenge, it is above all the legendary atmosphere that the Frenchman is particularly looking forward to. “I am really waiting for the day to enjoy the atmosphere and the support of everyone in Roth.”
On 5 July, Roth can look forward to welcoming the fast Frenchman, who wants to use his debut at the triathlon dream factory to prove his skills in front of thousands of fans.
