Top-of-the-range aero helmet with Challenge design
Limited special edition now available exclusively - 50 Euro donation for children

With the new uvex race 8, our partner uvex has launched a very special top-of-the-range aero helmet featuring a stylish DATEV Challenge Roth design. Limited to just 100, this limited edition is available now through the website. An attenuated drop shape, strategically-placed indentations and an innovative ventilation system provide the decisive advantage on the bike course. Uvex athletes such as Timo Bracht and Maurice Clavel will race in the same helmet at DATEV Challenge Roth this year and as they fight for valuable seconds. As part of the event, the uvex race 8 will be available exclusively for the first time to athletes.

Help for children in need
With every order, Challenge athletes will support a good cause. €50 per helmet will go to the Rainer Winter Foundation from uvex founder, Rainer Winter, Managing Partner of uvex group. The exclusive purpose of the Rainer Winter Foundation is to support the needy, sick and handicapped children in Germany and abroad. In this particular case, money raised will remain in the district of Roth: The Rainer Winter Foundation will donate the proceeds from TEAMCHALLENGE to the Regens Wagner in Zell Home near Hilpoltstein. This facility cares for children who are severely disabled and cannot live with their families and so have found a new home at Regens Wagner. The funds will go towards urgently needed play house and toys for the children.

Focus on aerodynamics
During the development of the uvex race 8, the focus was on improving aerodynamics. The developers at uvex decided for a weakened drop shape. On the side, the helmet shell has specially arranged dimples, like golf balls, to reduce the air resistance and prevent turbulence. In addition, to prevent pressure on the forehead, the ventilation system was placed at the centre. The new magnetic visor fits completely into the helmet and closes seamlessly. It can be operated with one hand and can be placed on the helmet in a specially designed park position when not in use thanks to integrated magnets in the shell. The helmet is available in two shell sizes, 56-58 and 58-61 cm. At 455 grams the overall weight is optimized for long distance. Measurements in the wind tunnel from the uvex race 8 show clear power and time savings on the bike. The higher the speed, the larger saving. In tests with uvex athletes, the wind resistance in the overall system was a 4.2% improvement compared to the previous model.

There are only 100 of the new uvex race 8 with the Challenge design, available for 299 € exclusively here.
This will sell-out, and it’s not hard to see why! Order now!
