Racing for the little triathlon stars
Triathlon expo puts a smile on your face
Traditionally, this takes place one day before the big DATEV Challenge Roth powered by hep around the Roth leisure pool. Both children and young people and amateur athletes take part. After a year’s break due to COVID, it was finally time again this morning. The go-ahead was given under special hygiene measures, and enjoyed perfect weather. The action kicked off with the mixed relays followed by individuals and family relays then students. The event finished with the youngest Bambinis heading into the water, on their bikes and on the running track. Cheered on by relatives, accompanied by fun music and surrounded by wonderful weather, the little triathletes competed and swam.
Challenge for All has long since developed into a real insider tip for the whole family in Roth. Often children, parents, friends and relatives compete in different teams. And those who are still too small for the Bambini passage can whiz across the finish line with their parents proudly in their arms. The Challenge for All event is also the motto of the event. People with disabilities also regularly compete here. This year, as always, numerous disabled participants showed they too can achieve unbelievable feats. With a big grin on their faces and cheered on by enthusiastic relatives, they were literally carried to the finish line on a wave of enthusiasm!
A comprehensive hygiene and safety concept was developed before the event so the Challenge for All and the Junior Challenge could take place safely. Thanks to the compulsory FFP2 mask, shortening the race day, barriers, admission controls, hygiene stations and distance regulations, the organizers ensured maximum protection in these COVID times. A wonderful event, which was only possible thanks to the support of numerous regional and national sponsors and partners. Special thanks from the organization team also go to the many volunteers, the aid organizations such as the water rescue service, the THW and the police.
