Health at the Forefront

Die Techniker becomes health partner of DATEV Challenge Roth powered by hep

The largest long-distance triathlon in the world is getting an exclusive official health partner for the first time with Techniker Krankenkasse (TK). Germany's leading health insurance company will benefit athletes and triathlon fans with a wide range of health-related offers during race week and throughout the year.

TK-Challenge and free seminars

To kick off the partnership, Techniker is offering a free webinar on motivation to all interested parties on 31 May in German. The guest speaker is none other than ROTH legend and TK ambassador, Andreas Niedrig. Access is free to everyone. In line with the topic of motivation, a coveted relay entry for the long sold-out race will be raffled off during the webinar.

As part of race week, TK will offer visitors to Roth bike coaching, bike fitting, an exciting VR experience and much more.

"Two years of the pandemic and more working from home have made everyday life less sedentary for many. In a survey, every third person now complains of tension, back pain or headaches," says Thomas Aderhold, Head of Customer Service at TK Nuremberg. "That's why we want to have fun motivating people to do more health-promoting exercise. At the same time, we're reducing the risk of lifestyle diseases such as cardiovascular problems or obesity."

Race director, Felix Walchshöfer, is enthusiastic about the added value the new partnership brings, “The partnership with TC offers an incredible amount for our athletes, but also for volunteers and spectators. Whether on the subject of nutrition, exercise or injury prevention: Techniker creates many opportunities we have not been able to cover at all to date, but which can be very worthwhile for our community. This makes this cooperation extremely valuable, which is why we are very pleased we have found a partner in TK with whom we can work together over a long period of time.”
