Dreams cannot be cancelled

About 3,400 individual participants and 650 relay teams and a high-class field of participants: This is DATEV Challenge Roth powered by hep, the world’s biggest long-distance triathlon event, which takes place in the German city of Roth every year. After the cancellation in 2020 due to the Corona virus the next race will take place on 5 September 2021. The race has long become a legend: The first edition of the triathlon festival in the European triathlon metropolis of Roth took place in 1984.

The competition starts with a 3.8 kilometers swim in the Main-Donau-Canal, followed by a 180 kilometers bike race and a marathon run of 42,2 kilometers. The flat and spectator-friendly one-lap route links the “traditional course” along the Canal with the inner city of Roth and Büchenbach. The winner of DATEV Challenge Roth powered by hep will probably again cross the finish-line in less than eight hours this year. The unbelievable world’s best time established by Jan Frodeno in Roth in 2016 is 7:35:39 hours.
