Over 4,500m² of all things swim, bike run
From 2-6 July 2020 the world’s biggest triathlon expo takes place as part of DATEV Challenge Roth. Below and attached you will find further information and registration details.
Admission to the expo, which takes place in the triathlon park around the DATEV Challenge Roth finish area is, as in previous years, free of charge for all visitors.
There will be the following changes for 2020:
- The entire Challenge Plaza (stands and walkways) will be covered with heavy-duty flooring to reduce dust and dirt. In addition, all stands in the Stadium Boulevard will have heavy-duty flooring. This is all included in the stand price!
- Sustainability and waste prevention is extremely important to us and we will continue to invest in this area. For example, we will facilitate better recycling separation. We also ask the exhibitors to do their bit for the environment and support us in placing the correct recycling in the corresponding bins and avoid general waste as much as possible.
At DATEV Challenge Roth, more than 3,500 individual athletes and more than 2,000 relay will compete in 2020, collecting their race packs from the expo. In addition to the athletes, around 2,000 Challenge Women participants, 2,000 Challenge4All and Junior Challenge participants, 300 international journalists, 7,500 sports enthusiasts and around 260,000 race day spectators are expected.
There’s an extensive programme of events in the expo area (registration, Erdinger Urweisse Hütt'ngaudi, Nightrun, Bernbacher Pasta Party, race briefings in several languages, Challenge Women, Talk to the Pros, early bird registration and the awards ceremony on the day after the race etc) which provides additional benefit and foot traffic. In addition, the quarter-finals of the European Football Championship will be broadcast this year in the beer garden adjacent to the expo.
