Three, two one, go!

Three, two one, go!
Bambinis race across the market square in Hilpoltstein

No gun firing a starting signal – at the Bambini race in Hilpoltstein the starting signal was a countdown from ten. Three-two-one-go! For the second time during the DATEV Challenge Roth, the city's office for culture and tourism, together with La Carrera TriTeam and TEAMCHALLENGE organized the race for the youngest athletes on Thursday night at the market square in Hilpoltstein. A busy crowd had gathered when the 3 to 6 year-olds had their big Challenge-moment. Supported by excited moms and dads, the boys and girls race up and down the market square's cobbbles. There is no way one could get lost on the track – the track is shown by Marius, one of the organizers, and at 150 metres, it is pretty easy to grasp.

At the end, a medal and a certificate await the Finishers. The medals were handmade by busy little kids at Hilpoltstein's kindergardens. Even the smallest athletes know one thing: After the race you have to hit the provision point to fuel up with juices and salty snacks. In Hilpoltstein, that was provided, too.
