5,000 Euros for Roth charity on Christmas Eve

The last entries for DATEV Challenge Roth 2020 were awarded at the traditional pre-Christmas action on 6 December. Every athlete who managed to get a place also donated 50 Euros to a good cause as part of their entry fee. This allowed Alice Walchshöfer, managing director of TEAMCHALLENGE, to hand over a cheque for 5,000 Euros to the charity managers two weeks before Christmas.

"The charity fits in perfectly with our pre-Christmas action. It's great to see our athletes bring joy to so many people in Roth at Christmas. As in the triathlon, people are brought together," says Alice Walchshöfer.

The organizing team of "Christmas Together" gratefully accepted the cheque and thanked everyone who donated. "Just like Challenge, our project involves a diverse range of people. The support of the Challenge athletes gives us the opportunity to invite people from all over Roth to join us at Christmas."

"Christmas Together" features a Christmas party organised by volunteers for people from Roth who have no-one to spend Christmas Eve with or who can’t afford do to something special. Everyone is welcome. Singles, couples, families, young or old, rich or poor, healthy or otherwise. The funds from the pre-Christmas action will make good food and a festive party atmosphere possible for 120 people on 24 December.
