Comfortable, easy and no need to worry about your bike transport to DATEV Challenge Roth powered by hep. We have teamed up with France Bike Rentals to give our athletes a special service. You can choose your premium bike with your individual settings.
On race day there will be no rail traffic between Roth-Bahnhof and Hilpoltstein (with the "Gredl"). You can reach the Triathlon Park in Roth from the train station in Roth in about 15 minutes on foot. From Roth train station, a rail replacement service has been set up on Sunday between Roth train station - Lohgarten Roth - Eckersmühlen - Hilpoltstein. The plan is here.
Since the Covid situation has eased there is also good news for camping fans. We are happy that we can offer camping facilities adjacent to the swim start.
Camping at the Swim Start
This year, there will again be a campsite in direct surrounding (approx. 300 meters) to the swim start at the Canal from Wednesday before the race until Wednesday after the race. Tents can be put up in a marked area (cf. aerial picture) free of charge. Campers are also allowed. No reservation is needed.
Toilets and waste containers are provided for. There will be shower facilities at transition zone 1 from Thursday evening, otherwise at the Rothsee lake.
Please respect the camping rules!
Access:
There is level access to the campsite via a short gravel path. You can enter or leave the campsite by car at any time, except during bike check-in on Saturday and on race day between 4 a.m. and 11 a.m., after that time you can leave the campsite by car in the direction of Allersberg. The way to the campsite is signposted from the Allersberg roundabout, from Hilpoltstein and from Haimpfarrich.
Back to the Swim Start after the Race
Only for participants: After the race there will be free shuttle busses which will carry you from transition zone II to the swim start starting at late afternoon to 12:30am. The busses are equipped with a trailer for your bikes.
