Welcome to Roth, the stronghold of triathlon!  

Since Detlef Kuehnel first took part in Hawaii, the triathlon virus has kept spreading continuously in the county of Roth. What started out with the Franconian Triathlon in 1984 and the first professionally organized Bavarian Championship in 1985 has meanwhile become a "must" for all sports fans in the region. For 21 years this exceptional triathlon event has now been taking place in the county of Roth, and town administrations, the county authority as well as the citizens have always been more than pleased to contribute to its success: For many years the bike course has, for example, been signposted for the triathletes' easier guidance. In the county of Roth numerous places of accommodation, either private or in hotels, are available for athletes and fans. Now and again on-site training camps are being organized for the participants.
