For the anniversary of the Challenge-Shop we have completed the new DVD in a record-time. As you know, many records have been established at Roth in the past 20 years, but the 7th Quelle Challenge Roth was a special race. Last year's race winner Yvonne van Vlerken from the Netherlands beat the 14-year-old world-record time established by Paula Newby-Fraser here in Roth, and won this year's race in an unbelievable 8:45:48 hours. Second-place finisher Erika Csomor from Hungary also remained under the old record-time with a spectacular 8:47:05. Patrick Vernay from France won the men's competition. We also had a record number of participants with more than 2,800 individual starters and 525 relay teams. The participants came from 50 nations around the world - which is another record number here in Roth. The well-known journalist Günther Schäfer and his team accompanied the race and captured it on film.
