It’s the last hours before the big race on Sunday. All the preparations are done and an entire county is looking forward to a hot competition. This is the best time to get together for a beer or alcohol-free drinks and other delicacies for the countdown. Which is why, the night before, the race stands under the motto “Countdown-Party” at the Heidecker Marketplace. BAYERN 3, media partner of the DATEV Challenge in Roth is also there for the second time. BAYERN 3 DJ, Jerry Gstöttner, is responsible for the hot beats and has plenty of interview partners along as well. But before all that can take place the Mayor, Ralf Bayer, will welcome his guests and is happy that BAYERN 3 is back and giving the “Countdown” the suitable coverage.

Kathrin Walchshöfer, from TEAMCHALLENGE,is already looking forward to the starting signal which will sound in less than 10 hours. All the preparations are finished, the athletes are sleeping and the volunteers and helpers are taking a deep breath before making sure everything runs smoothly on race day.

One person who can sit back and relax on race day is the DATEV Challenge Roth winner from 2013, Dirk Bockel. The athlete from Luxemburg is happy on the one hand not to be at the start, but on the other hand Triathlon is his life. Therefore, he will be the commentator on Sunday for the English Livestream.

Some of the guests at the Heidecker Marketplace will be getting up really early Sunday morning, at exactly 4:15 a.m.! That is when Katrina Neumann, together with her colleagues, from the ski club in Heideck will awaken, to take responsibility of the supply station on the Selingstädter Berg.  You have to put in a lot of heart and soul but it’s a lot of fun too.

After the interviews, YouTube-singer,  Nicole Cross together with her guitarist and keyboarder  Manuel got the Marketplace heated up before  DJ Jerry Gstöttner got the Beats going into the night.

Nicole Cross excited the public in Heideck with her songs.
