Bikes and helmets are to be checked in on Saturday, July 12th at the swim start at the Main-Donau-Canal, Hilpoltstein landing stage.

For bike check-in, please bring the transponder handed out with your start documents since it will be required for registration.

The start numbers will be marked on the athletes' upper arms on Sunday, June 24th from 04.30 to 06.00 a.m. at the swim start (near the entry of the transition zone). No upper-arm marking is required for relay starters.

Information for relay starters

Cyclists and runners will be marked "S" (for "Staffel", the German word for relay) on their calves.
Cyclists will be marked directly at the relay bike park.
Runners will be marked at relay transition zone 2.

Relay transition zones

Transition Zone I (WZ I - swim/bike)

Swimmers

The changing of clothes and the depositing of clothes before the start must be completed by 7.30 a.m. in the area adjacent to the transition zone, the so-called "swimmers' service" in the sports field. After that, the swimmers have the opportunity to find the location of their cyclists' bikes in Transition Zone I (transition may only take place there!). Startcall at 8.20 a.m. (first startgroup of relays from 2300 to 2550) and at 8.25 a.m. (second startgroup of relays from 2551 up) the swimmer has to go the start check-in area (transponder ). Start of group 1 at 8.20 a.m., start of group 2 at 8.25 a.m.).

After swimming the transponders must be handed over to the relay cyclists at the place where the bikes are parked - sufficient space has been provided for this purpose.

Cyclists and swimmers leave Transition Zone I through the same channel: The cyclists take the asphalt path leading to the bike course, the swimmers proceed to the "swimmers' service" area in the sports field. A shower is offered in the "Corpus Zentrum" located at the entrance of Hipoltstein. After having left Transition Zone I athletes will not be permitted to return there. Runners do neither have access to the "swimmers' service" area nor to Transition Zone I.

Transition Zone II (WZ II - bike/run)

Cyclists

After having arrived in Transition Zone II and after having handed over their bikes, the cyclists proceed to their running partners in the marked zones (groups of 50 near the Quelle pavilions). After having handed over the transponders athletes must leave this area of Transition Zone II immediately and proceed to the refreshment area for relay teams. The massage for cyclists will be in Transitionzone II from 2 p.m. to 6.p.m.Swimmers are not admitted there.

Meeting point for relay teams

Swimmers/cyclists

Like last year there is a meeting point in the courtyard of the Druckerei Thums printery (corner Hilpoltsteiner Strasse/Am Espan), where swimmers and cyclists can meet their runners in order to finish the race together. However, behind the finish line swimmers and cyclists are not permitted to enter the athlete tent. In view of the service facilities for swimmers (at the "swimmers' service") and for cyclists (relay refreshment area at Transition Zone II), and above all with regard to the large field of starters you will certainly understand that we have to offer individual starters the finish-line service they are used to.

What happens to the clothes bags?

Each relay team is given three bags (blue, red, green) and three wristbands (marked swimming, cycling and running) as well as a transponder for time registration. This transponder also has the function of a baton, i. e. it must be handed over to the next team member.

Swimmers

Before starting please place your clothes in the blue bag and deposit it in the relay transition zone swim/bike at the respective place.

Cyclists

Before starting please place your clothes in the red bag and hand it in at the truck near the swim start. It will be transported to the bike/run transition.

Please pick up your (red) clothes bag in the transition zone. Shower facilities are available at the School Gartenstraße, where limited parking is availible. The car park Marktkauf is also near by.

Runners

Before starting please place your clothes in the green bag and deposit it in the relay transition zone - it will be transported to the massage tent in the finish line area.

In an appropriate distance from the finish line the management has provided for a meeting point for relay teams ("Am Espan/Hilpoltsteiner Strasse").Clothing-bags (green) can be collected in the massage tent.

Calf lettering

On Sunday 13th of July from 07.00 a.m. until 08.00 a.m. for the bikers in the relay transition area (transition area I). For the runners the calf lettering is settled in the transition area II.

Further

Relay teams may finish together, but only the runner has access into the massage tent.

After finishing the race all relay members reach the special relay area behind the finish line, collect their Finisher T-Shirt and are offered beverages. Thereafter the runner has the possibility to enter the massage tent. Unfortunately the swimmer and biker do not have access to the tent. They can leave the relay area throughout a special exit.

You will receive further information on the race together with your start documents at the registration office in Roth and at the race meeting.

In the meantime, if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.

We hope you will arrive here safely and are looking forward to welcoming you in Roth.

Best regards.
