Experience report

 

Who could judge a sports event better than the athletes who have taken part in it once or even several times?

 

As every year, we are going to post some of the positive and negative feedback that we receive on the Internet. We are always glad about compliments. Constructive criticism is also welcome, since we take it seriously and our experts tackle the problems that need to be solved. If participants complain, who do not attend fundamental things like the race meeting, do not read the race information or do not make themselves familiar with the race course, we take note of such complaints, but will not comment thereon. So we are always glad to receive your constructive criticism!

 

 

Hi team Challenge-Roth,

 

On behalf of my wife Sarah Price (Bib No. 316) and myself we would like to congratulate you on the best long course competition we have ever attended, both from a competitors point of view and a spectators the show you put on was truly superb, please please organise an event in the UK, we only have Ironman here and it is so poorly run, we have both competed in over 15 long course events around the world with Ironman Florida being our 16th in November of this year and it is only fair to say we have never experienced anything close to the freindliness of the spectators and organisational brilliance of the Challenge-Roth event-----Thankyou,  we will be back next year.

Sadly my wife did not receive her finishers T-Shirt as she went for some treatment in the first-aid section and then rushed out of the athletes area to find me, we then left immediately for our hotel where as you will understand she went straight to bed as we had a midday ferry from Calais the following day, so sadly could not come back to Roth to collect her T-Shirt. Is there some way we can get her finishers T-Shirt in size medium sent to us.

Thank you for a very well organised event. I felt very privileged to be able to participate in your race with the best crowd participation and organisation that went so well. From registration and the expo right up to the last firework and picking up bicycles at the very end, it all went very smoothly and contributed to a perfect day enjoyed by everyone I know that raced, about 10 of us in our group.

First of all thanks for a amazing race it was the best I’ve ever done.

 

I did go 8.43 and crossed finish with my best friend Alexander, who I introduces to triathlon in 2001 that’s was a big moment for me and Alexander.

We did not want to prove strength to each other just share this big moment together.
