Volunteers, more than 4,000
This is the number of volunteers who are there with the same enthusiasm and helpfulness again every year to ensure a smooth competition for the athletes. Thus, we are very proud that in terms of numbers there is actually one volunteer for each starter.

Wanaka
Our first partner race. On January 20, 2007 the first ORCA Challenge Wanaka took place.
Wetsuits
Since water temperatures of the Europakanal at the Challenge always are about 21 ° Celsius, wetsuits are compulsory for each participant according to DTU regulations.
By the way, in co-operation with Bennie Lindberg, we have developed our own wetsuit – the “Challenger”. For further information and a direct order form for the Green Turtle Long Distance Wetsuit, please click here.
Winners’ Award Ceremony
Always takes place on Monday morning at 11 am at the pavilion. All winners of the CR, the German Championship and the age-group winners will receive their awards. There is a separate Award Ceremony for the Firefighters at the Roth fire station at 4 pm. Of course all firefighters are also welcome at the general Winners’ Award Ceremony.
