Kalvarienberg

At the southernmost point of the bike course this hill stretches the athletes to the limit. The ascent, which is about 1.5 km long and up to 10 % steep, must be passed twice. But don’t be afraid: The crowds of cheering spectators almost carry the athletes up the road. So even this steep hill feels as if it was flat.

Needless to say that foreign starters are greeted and cheered on in their native languages!

Kilometre indications

In order to ensure that athletes keep track of the course, kilometre indications are put up at intervals of 10 km on the bike course and 1 km on the run course. This may help athletes to better control your speed.

Kudos

The German and foreign press has been giving us kudos for years now. Here are some of the best quotes:

  • "Triathlon in Roth is like tennis in Wimbledon" (Frankfurter Allgemeine newspaper)
  • "Best old race" (Inside Triathlon, USA)
  • "The triathlon dream factory" (Triathlon-Magazin)
  • "Germany’s triathlon festival" (RHV/Nürnberger Nachrichten newspaper)
